RVN: Abiotic Oil โ€“ Is Oil Truly a Finite Fossil Fuel or a Regenerating Mineral? ๐Ÿ›ข๏ธ

Yesterday we explored the asymmetric game of sweet versus heavy oil, refining capacity, and geopolitics โ€” and why the price at the pump often has little to do with how much oil is physically in the ground.

Today we go one layer deeper.

Narrative:
โ€œOil is a fossil fuel made from dinosaurs and plants. The reserves are running out. Thatโ€™s why we must switch quickly.โ€

Reality โ€“ A Deeper Layer:

There has been a serious alternative theory for decades: the Abiotic (Abiogenic) Oil Theory.

It proposes that oil is not (primarily) of biological origin, but is formed deep in the Earth from inorganic substances (methane, water, minerals) under extreme heat and pressure. Oil could therefore be a naturally regenerating mineral.

Sweet vs Heavy Oil in This Theory

According to this theory (especially the Russian-Ukrainian school), this explains why some oil fields appear to (partially) replenish themselves and why oil is found in places where, according to the biogenic theory, life could never have existed.

Why This Matters If oil is (partly) abiotic and regenerating, the entire โ€œpeak oilโ€ and โ€œweโ€™re running outโ€ narrative becomes much weaker.
Then itโ€™s not primarily about physical scarcity, but about access, refining, transport, and geopolitical control.

OIM Way Out Whether oil is fully biogenic, abiotic, or a mix โ€” the lesson remains the same:
Question official scarcity narratives.

See through the mechanisms of artificial scarcity.
Build real energy independence instead of remaining dependent on a global system that can be disrupted with the stroke of a pen.

Question to you
Do you believe oil is a finite fossil fuel, or could it (partly) be a regenerating process of the Earth?

How does this change your view on energy prices and independence?

We keep building. Facts above frames.
