Sunday, D66 congress. Jetten on groups that attack LGBT rights and minorities:
we will not let them win. We will smash them in the mouth.
Monday: regret. Nicer language. Not literal. Passionate. Slip of the tongue.
Everyone understood the metaphor.
That does not make the sentence innocent. It makes the apology thin.
The test
Say the same line as an MP for PVV or FVD.
The world is too small.
Say it as prime minister, on the file D66 cares about most, and it becomes diction.
Baudet took a bottle to the head. A weighted umbrella.
Then it was: stop whining. Political risk. He asked for it.
