RVN: Trump – “wrong body” is child abuse

Monday 24 August, Back-to-School event in the Rose Garden of the White House.
President Trump, standing next to Education Secretary Linda McMahon, said it clearly:

“Every public school in America is now on notice that if they tell a child that they’re trapped in the wrong body, they are committing child abuse.”

No vague policy.
No abstract guideline.
A direct warning: schools that use this frame risk federal funding cuts and civil-rights investigations.

What is actually happening

The Trump administration has been rolling back gender policies in schools for some time.
Investigations are already underway into school districts in Maryland and Michigan.
McMahon confirmed that the Department of Education is working with the Justice Department to ensure schools do not have more authority over children than parents.

The core point is simple.
Schools have one primary task: education.
Math, language, history, science.
Not guiding, affirming or redefining the gender identity of a minor.

The moment a school does that – through language, protocols or quiet social transition – it oversteps its mandate.
The school then becomes an ideological actor instead of an educational institution.

The contrast

On one side: schools and activists who claim that affirming gender identity is caring.
On the other side: an administration that labels this frame as child abuse and threatens financial and legal consequences.

Both sides claim to act in the interest of the child.
But the fundamental question remains: does this belong to the task of a school at all?

OIM way out

Do not take over the moral war.
Guard the boundary.

Schools that involve themselves with the gender identity of children create a black box: opaque protocols, data on minors, and power without clear accountability.
Parents and citizens must be able to check what is happening.
Open policy, open data, open control.

Question for you

Does guiding or affirming gender identity belong, in your view, to the task of a school?
Or should that boundary lie elsewhere?
