Independent networks

Networks not under the control of gatekeepers — e.g. mesh networks, federated servers, peer-to-peer systems.

Examples: LocalMesh in the Netherlands, Guifi.net in Spain, Yggdrasil worldwide.

These networks make censorship, deplatforming, and lock-in virtually impossible.
